In the Kharkiv region, sappers began to use the Armtrac 400 demining machine, which can crush any mines and ammunition.
As "Slobidskyi Kray" writes with reference to the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, the Armtrac cabin is equipped with high-quality armor and polycarbonate glass, and the machine can also be controlled remotely using a special remote control at a distance of up to 800 meters.
On March 27, the machine works in the Chuguyiv district. As Andrii Vakulenko, the head of the mechanized demining department, said, the machine fulfills its task 100%.
- In this area, which we demined, we found PFM 1 C submunitions, we found 9H210 cluster elements, we found artillery shells of various calibers. Yes, today the pyrotechnic department, during the survey of this area after the car, found a F-1 hand grenade that was left behind by the occupiers, he said.
According to Andrii Vakulenko, the ammunition left by the enemy in the de-occupied territories poses a great threat to civilians, including children.
- I want to call on all people, when you return to the purchased territories, be careful. If you see explosive objects - do not touch them, immediately call 101. One dangerous movement can end very tragically. Especially dangerous objects are of great interest to children. When they, not understanding what it is, can take them in their hands. "Unfortunately, there are a lot of explosions among children," says the sapper.
The State Emergency Service emphasizes that the use of such a powerful machine as the Armtrac 400 will speed up the demining of the Kharkiv region.
