In Ukraine, private companies were allowed to manufacture car license plates. They will be able not only to produce license plates themselves, but also to choose combinations of numbers and letters. This was announced on Facebook by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapyatyi, informs "Avtosvit".
According to him, such demonopolization of the market for the production of car number plates will promote market competition of various business entities. In addition, it will be more convenient to get this service.
It is interesting that it will not be difficult to distinguish car numbers issued by private companies, because completely new series with the letter designations OA, ОВ, ОС, ОЕ, ОН, ОИ, ОК, ОМ, UB, UC, AG, AJ, DB have been allocated for them. N.A. They were approved by the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine No. 53 of January 30, 2024, and they have not yet met by car. This will make the process of assigning a combination of letters and numbers more transparent and reduce the risk of interference by officials.
If a private company wants to make license plates, it must submit the necessary documents to the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The application must be considered within 5 days and the company must be notified about joining the Register of Business Entities. It is worth noting that vehicle registration will continue to be carried out at service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
