In Russia, in a report on the results of her work, an official announced the establishment of the production of carburetors for electric cars, the Agency reports.

The report of the first deputy head of the government of the Ulyanovsk region of the Russian Federation, Maryna Alekseeva, was published on the website of the Public Chamber of the region.

"The largest enterprise of the city of Dimitrovgrad, LLC DAAZ, has started a major re-equipment for the production of carburetors for the future domestic electric car Atom. Rosatom has already invested 1,1 billion rubles in this project," the official wrote in the report.

It should be noted that the carburetor is a part of the power system of the internal combustion engine, designed to prepare a mixture of liquid fuel with air and regulate the supply of fuel to the combustion chamber. Internal combustion engines are practically not used in modern engines due to outdated technology. In principle, it cannot be used in electric vehicles due to the lack of an internal combustion engine.

The fragment of the official's report, which talked about carburetors, almost completely coincided with the text of the satirical publication Panorama, published in September 2023. Moreover, the Panorama website clearly states: "All texts on this website are grotesque parodies of reality and are not real news."

It is interesting that independent Russian journalists call the Atom electric car project itself, whose investors are KamAZ and Rosatom, a vivid example of corruption in Russia.
