Russians, even with dual citizenship, have problems with banks in Switzerland
A number of clients of UBS and Credit Suisse with dual citizenship have reported that the banks have closed their accounts, Chroniclers reports with reference to the Moscow Times.
It is noted that Swiss banks consider any connections of their clients with Russia, even a one-time transfer of funds to relatives in the Russian Federation. Also, one of the Swiss banks refused to open accounts for several Israeli citizens who kept their Russian passports.
It is emphasized that the Russian passport becomes a "black mark" in Switzerland due to the fact that local banks are afraid of secondary sanctions.
