In Poland, the general who was responsible for the training of Ukrainian soldiers was fired

The Ministry of Defense of Poland announced the dismissal of Lieutenant General Yaroslav Gromadzinski, who, together with the American military, was responsible for the training of Ukrainian soldiers.

They decided to recall Lieutenant General Grozhdynskyi from the position of commander of the European Corps (Eurocorps), a group of rapid reaction forces based in Strasbourg.

The message of the Polish Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the reason for recalling the general was the beginning of a military counterintelligence check in connection with receiving new information about the officer.

Although the Ministry of Defense of the country does not provide details, it is said that it is about the "investigation regarding access to state secrets" of the Polish lieutenant general.

"Another officer will be immediately appointed to the position held by Lieutenant General Jarosław Gromadzynski," said Janusz Seimei, spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Defense.

Horadyanskyi headed Eurocorps in June 2023. In recent months, the general also served in the International Support Group for Ukraine in Wiesbaden, Germany, and together with American officers was responsible for the training of the Ukrainian military.
