The US administration expressed indignation at the statements of the Kremlin, which continues to accuse Ukraine, the US and other countries of involvement in the terrorist attack in Crocus, and reported that it had warned the Russian Federation about this threat in detail in writing.

White House adviser John Kirby made such a statement on Thursday during a telephone briefing, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.

"Prior to the attack on March 22, the US government provided the Russian authorities with clear and detailed information about the terrorist threat at mass gatherings and concerts in Moscow," a US administration official said.

He clarified that on March 7, at 11:15 Moscow time, "the United States government sent a written warning to the Russian security services" following normal procedures through established channels that were used before.

Additionally, the following day, March 8, the US issued a public warning for American citizens to avoid large gatherings and concerts in Moscow. He expressed his belief that public announcements of the threat could have deterred the attackers from the March 8 attack. At the same time, according to him, the warning sent to the Russian government contained precise definitions regarding the terrorist threat at concerts in Moscow.

"We are providing this information to Russia because the United States takes very seriously its duty to warn about such things. We do not want to see innocent lives lost in terrorist attacks, and this warning was one of many that the United States government has communicated to Russia since September 2023 about various threats," Kirby said.

He also called it quite obvious that ISIS bears full responsibility for the terrorist attack in Moscow last week.
