Russian Ambassador to Poland Serhiy Andreev left the country for nine days on March 26 – the day after he refused to come to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs due to the incident with a Russian missile. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland received this information, writes Gazeta.pl.

The foreign policy agency noted that the Russian Embassy in a technical note reported on Andreev's absence from Poland from March 26 to April 4. At this time, his duties will be performed by a temporary attorney-in-fact.

The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Radoslav Sikorskyi, also commented on the Russian ambassador's visit to journalists.

"Ambassador Andreev himself provided proof of his culture and professionalism. From what I heard, he has already left our territory," he said.

Sikorsky clarified that the Russian ambassador was not expelled and he himself did not resign.

As reported, Russian Ambassador Serhiy Andreev did not come to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. He was called there because a Russian missile flew into Polish airspace. The official clarified that the note of protest will be delivered in another way.

The deputy head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Poland wanted to hand over a note of protest to the Russian ambassador Serhiy Andreev, but he did not come to the ministry upon being summoned.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland called the Russian ambassador Serhii Andreev "on the carpet". The reason for this was the violation of Polish airspace by a Russian missile.
