The armored car is quite common in Europe. It is known that even the occupiers have such cars, but they call it "Lynx". There, Lynx/Rys was produced by the MWPS JV, formed by the Russian division of Iveco and the Oboronserwis concern. Before the start of the war, about 425 Lynx/Rys machines were produced and supplied to the Russian armed forces.

The Netherlands and Belgium also plan to purchase armored sanitary vehicles, which will be part of the second tranche of aid to Ukraine.
