The UN International Court of Justice ruled that Israel must take all necessary measures to ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

"Israel, in accordance with its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and in view of the deteriorating living conditions of Palestinians in Gaza... should take all necessary and effective measures to ensure, without delay, the full cooperation of the United Nations and other stakeholders for unimpeded provision of the needs of Palestinians and the arrival of humanitarian aid, including food, water, electricity, fuel, housing, clothing, hygiene products, as well as medicine and medical aid," the statement said.

It is noted that the flow of humanitarian aid must be ensured throughout the territory of Gaza, as well as the capacity and number of ground crossing points must be increased and kept open as long as necessary.
