If you think that only expensive professional tools are needed for nail care, then you are very wrong - everything you need can be stored very close by. Shall we look into the kitchen?
Sea salt
Sea salt has a unique composition. It contains a large amount of natural minerals that provide health and shine to the nails. To strengthen the nail plate and soften the cuticle, dissolve 2 tsp. of sea salt in a glass of warm water and keep your fingers in it for 10 minutes.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil contains saturated fats that moisturize nails and the skin around them well. Apply a small amount of pre-heated oil to your hands and gently massage the nail plates and upper parts of the fingers to increase blood flow and improve nail nutrition.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has many useful properties. This product contains calcium, magnesium and iron - minerals that strengthen the nail plate, as well as acetic and malic acids, which protect the nails from fungal infections.
It is not recommended to use vinegar in its pure form. For baths, it is better to dilute it with water in a ratio of 1:1.
Beer
Alcoholic drinks do not benefit the body if they are taken orally. And when used externally, beer — a rich source of potassium, selenium, phosphorus, and biotin — can really improve the condition of nails. To prepare a therapeutic bath, you will need a glass of apple cider vinegar, a glass of beer and 0,25 cups of warm olive oil. For the best effect, the nails should be kept in the solution for at least 15 minutes. The procedure should be carried out regularly - at least twice a week.
Vegetable oil
Frequent contact with water and detergents adversely affects the condition of the hands and the health of the nails. The skin becomes dry, begins to peel and crack. To protect your hands from water, make a light massage with a few drops of vegetable oil. This product creates a protective film that will prevent moisture loss and keep the skin soft and supple. And the nails just shine after such a procedure!
Tea tree oil and vitamin E
Both of these products are widely used in the creation of hand and nail creams. Oils nourish dry skin, tea tree extract protects skin from fungus and other infections. Apply a few drops of the product on the skin and nails at night, put on cotton gloves, and in the morning check the result - we are sure you will be satisfied with it!
Baking soda
Soda not only strengthens the nails, but also removes the unpleasant yellow coating that remains on them from decorative varnishes. In addition, thanks to its antiseptic properties, soda protects hands from the appearance of fungus.
To whiten the nail plate, soda is used in the form of a thick paste.
It is also useful to keep the nails in a soda bath. To prepare it, dissolve 1 tbsp. l. powder in 250 ml of warm water, dip your fingers in it for 15 minutes and wipe with a dry napkin. The procedure should be performed three times a week.
Lemon and sugar
Lemon juice is a powerful natural bleach. To restore a healthy shine to yellowed nails and improve the condition of the cuticle, mix the juice of half a lemon with 1 tbsp. l. of sugar and rub the product into the nails and the skin around them. Leave the mixture on the nails for 5-7 minutes and wash it off with warm water. The procedure can be carried out once every four days. After it, you should avoid the sun's rays for several hours - they can provoke skin pigmentation.
Onions
Of course, the tool is not for people with weak nerves, but it works best on the nails. Cut the bulb in half, stick your nails into it and hold for 5-7 minutes. After that, try not to wash your hands for at least an hour. Yes, it is difficult to tolerate the smell, but you will quickly forget all the inconveniences when you see the effect of onion juice.
Mint and chamomile
Chamomile has a mild antiseptic effect, and mint essential oil stimulates blood circulation and strengthens nail growth. Prepare an infusion of chamomile (2 tablespoons per one glass of water), add four leaves of fresh mint or a few drops of its essential oil, 1 tbsp. l. olive oil and 2 tbsp. l. wheat flour. The finished mixture should be rubbed into the nails and cuticles several times a week. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
