How to improve your condition:
- Imagine the perfect place
Relax your body and walk through every part of it. Relax your legs, arms, back, head, fingers and face. In your mind, picture the place and circumstances where you would like to be. Choose a situation that is the opposite of the one that caused the stress. If you feel hopeless, imagine yourself floating freely in the ocean or flying.
2. Lemon
Sit comfortably on a chair or bed. Put your hands on your knees, palms up, lower your head and shoulders, and close your eyes. Imagine that you have a lemon in your hand and you have to squeeze it with all your might to squeeze out the juice. Slowly squeeze the lemon until there is no "juice" left. After that, relax completely.
Repeat the exercise with the other hand and rest again for a few minutes. The last stage: a lemon in each hand and you "squeeze" them at the same time. During the exercise, concentrate on your feelings and breathing.
3. Freewriting
Grab your favorite notebook or piece of paper and a pen. Write. Put on paper everything that worries you, what you want to talk about, just write down everything for the day and how you feel. When you write by hand, concentrate, all anxiety magically disappears. You can practice freewriting at least every day. Maybe people who keep a diary know about this technique?
4. Art therapy: the wheel of feelings
Paints, pencils or felt-tip pens can sometimes replace a session of a psychologist. In adulthood, non-professional drawing seems pointless, but in fact it is another way to support mental health.
How to draw a wheel of feelings? Draw a circle and divide it into 8 sections, in each section write down your emotions. Color each sector with the color associated with that emotion. Then analyze what color means what to you, what emotions you drew with similar colors, what you wrote down first and what feelings you are experiencing more now.
