Sewer arrangement for a country house: features and technology

31
Sewerage is a mandatory component of the comfort of any country house. Its arrangement is not something particularly complicated or specific. It is only necessary to clearly observe some rules by which it works autonomous sewage system and general principles.

Features of sewage system

Sewage to the septic tank must be laid from the wall of the house closest to it, so as not to lead the pipe around the entire building. Therefore, it is advisable to place the toilet in this wall, since the outlet under the toilet will be a kind of starting point of the sewage system. All other plumbing in the house will be connected directly to this place.

You should not place the bathtub far from the toilet, since, taking into account the necessary slope of the pipe, you will have to raise the structure above the floor. This also applies to the trench under the pipeline, which should also be located as close as possible to the septic tank and have the required angle of inclination. At the same time, the longer the length of the pipeline, the smaller the septic tank will be in terms of usable space.

The process of arranging an autonomous sewage system can be divided into several main stages:

1. Where the toilet will be placed, dig a vertical pit. Its lower point should be located deeper than the foundation of the house, and its width should be equal to a value of at least 20 cm.

2. A trench is dug opposite the pit from the side of the street. The initial depth of this ditch should be approximately 1 m. As mentioned above, the trench for the pipe should have a certain slope. It should be smooth without any depressions and/or bumps. The angle of inclination of the trench under the pipeline should be at least 2 degrees.

3. Having completed the preparation of the trench, you can start installing pipes. First, a horizontal pipe is installed in a trench on the street, after which it is connected to a vertical pipe previously inserted into a pit inside the building. It is most convenient to connect these pipes with the help of a 90-degree angle, which is put on a horizontal pipe and stretched together with it under the foundation. Then already inside the house, a vertical pipe in the pit is pulled up to them.

All other sections of the pipeline are laid much easier. It is only necessary to control the required angle of inclination and seal all joints with silicone.

4. The pipe is buried in the trench, for which first soft earth or sand is used, and then the bulk of the soil. A soft base for the pipe is necessary so that it is not accidentally damaged.

Inspection of the sewage system

Autonomous sewerage must be checked for operability after installation. This is done very simply: they take a certain amount of water (about 10 liters) and pour it into the pipe inside the house, having previously placed a container of the same or larger volume at the other end of it on the street. If the volumes of poured and poured liquids are the same, it means that the pipe was installed correctly and you can safely use the sewage system.
