South Palmyra is the name of Odessa, a wonderful city on the shores of the Black Sea. A city with a rich history, beautiful architecture and a population of about 1 million people (data for 2018). More than 3 million tourists visit it every year, some of them to relax and have fun, and some of them to work. The total area of the city is quite significant - 162 km2, therefore rent a car in Odessa helps to comfortably get to the right place, save time on the move, do planned things and see more interesting things.

In addition to the famous sights in Odessa, there are places that are not very well known to tourists, but are appreciated by local residents, which means they are worth a look. Let's talk about some of them:

  1. Central Park named after T. G. Shevchenko (formerly Aleksandrovsky). On its territory there are attractions for the whole family, the central and largest stadium in the city, the Green Theater, the Alley of Fame with memorials. The park offers an amazing view of the sea, so many people like to watch the sunset here.
  2. Chernomorskaya street. It stretches along Langeron beach and has lost its odd side over time. It became famous because it was described by Konstantin Paustovsky, and now, in house No. 8, there is a museum of this writer.
  3. Cable car. It is located near the beach "Otrada". It was opened in 1971. From its height, a stunning panorama of the sea and the surrounding area opens, but such a walk is more suitable for extreme lovers.
  4. A house with one wall. An amazing three-story house built in 1889. From a certain viewing angle, the impression is created that the building has only one wall. In fact, the building has a triangular shape, which is due to the inconvenient site for construction. Several dozen houses in Odessa have such an intricate shape, but the most famous of them is located in Vorontsovsky Lane.
  5. Lyman Kuyalnyk. Here is the lowest point of Ukraine - minus 5 meters above sea level. At the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, an amazing phenomenon is observed: the water turns pink. On the territory of Kuyalnik, you can also stay inexpensively in a sanatorium.
