We choose an optical mouse for a computer

Any computer mouse has a limited service life. Often the wheel breaks, the wire breaks, or the mouse starts to lose sight of the mat. For confident work with a stationary computer, you need to choose a high-quality new mouse. But by no means all users firmly know by what criteria it is necessary to select a computer mouse and do not understand whether they need a highly sensitive one gaming mouse or the usual office version.

The first thing to pay attention to is the port. In old PCs, the PS/2 port is still used, but in new computers and laptops, the USB port is widely used, which managed to show itself from the best side - the mouse is connected, the user waits a little while the drivers are installed, the computer begins to "see" the mouse and it starts working The value also lies in the fact that such a mouse can be connected to a hot computer and check its performance on the spot.

Next, you need to focus on the mouse resolution, which is measured by the number of dots per square inch. In inexpensive versions of mice, this resolution can be "only" 400-800 DPI. When the user seriously works with computer graphics or he likes to play computer games, he should choose more sensitive versions of mice with a resolution of more than 1600 dots per square inch. Often the latter also have a middle key, which is needed in most games.

Next comes the selection of the correct wire. It will be highly desirable if the wire is long and has a steel braid, thanks to which the wire can better withstand physical effects. It is not always appropriate to take extremely cheap versions of mice with a wire length of a little more than 1 m - they can be broken at any minute.

Of course, you need to look at another factor - the size of the mouse. It has already become a tradition that large mice are considered more convenient in terms of use - a person's palm completely falls on them! But if you need a mouse for a laptop, it is better to choose a small mouse that can take up a minimum of space in a bag.

And finally, you need to focus on wireless mouse models that can work without wires at all! The best versions have built-in batteries, the charge of which allows the mouse to work without interruption for several days. All the ardent assurances of the manufacturers of such types of mice that this "iron" is capable of working for weeks should not be taken seriously. If the wireless mouse is able to turn itself off in a state of rest after 2-3 seconds, then this fact will be a big plus - the charge will be saved. The disadvantage of these versions is the increased cost (up to $100 for game versions) and often users take wireless mice with batteries, which are inexpensive (up to $4) and have enough charge to last a lifetime. You can take batteries, charge them on a special device, and you won't have to buy batteries anymore.
