The design is made in such a way that compressed air passes through the filter element and moisture particles are released from it. To ensure stable operation, the filter element is placed in the feeding part of the air line. The main design elements include:

- Element for cleaning dust and other particles;
- Return valve;
- A system that distributes compressed air.
Signs of a poor quality filter
A low-quality dehumidifier has a low drying capacity. If water gets into the tank and the brake system, it may stop functioning properly. Corrosion, which occurs due to excess water in the system, negatively affects the brake valves. If such a breakdown occurs, much more money will be required for repairs than simply replacing the filter element on time.
When the cartridge is destroyed, the absorbent is crushed and spilled into the brake system, leading to its contamination and subsequent breakdown. If the cartridge is of poor quality and leaky, the number of compressor cycles increases. Such functioning leads to excessive fuel consumption and compressor failure.
The following characteristics will indicate a low-quality dryer:
- Tight fit of the rubber ring on the outer surface of the cartridge;
- A low-quality part can have semicircular holes smaller in depth;
- There are no manufacturer's marks, which indicates a fake;
- The weight of the fake is lighter because poor quality material is used.
