After providing first aid, the victim must be urgently taken to a hospital or trauma center.

This is the simplest medical treatment that can and should be given to an injured person at the scene of the accident.
It is considered that the most effective help is the help provided within the first 30 minutes after the accident.

The employer is directly responsible for the lack of staff training and testing of first aid skills.

What to do if you witness an accident

  1. He will eliminate the threat to his life by any means at hand or regular. From clothes, if necessary. If the accident happened indoors, give space for air.
  2. Conduct an initial inspection. Determine the nature of the injuries and the damaged.
  3. If necessary, perform artificial respiration, stop the bleeding, apply a bandage, call a doctor.
  4. Try to maintain the viability of the victim.

Help with thermal and electrical burns

These burns can be divided into four degrees:

1-redness, swelling, feeling of pain

2-blisters filled with liquid

3-part skin necrosis

4-numbing of the skin

If a thermal or electrical burn has occurred, try to extinguish the flame. It will protect the affected parts of the body from germs getting into them. Bring a person out of shock.

In no case should you touch them with your hands. Treat them as quickly as possible with special means, and put a sterile bandage on 2-4 degree burns.

Clothes, shoes, and other items must be carefully cut off from damaged areas. In no case should you do it sharply, tear it off. Give painkillers, wait for the doctor.

Help with chemical burns

Chemical burns are dangerous because their severity depends on how concentrated the substance was and how long it was exposed to.

If a chemical burn has occurred, quickly wash the affected areas under a large amount of running water for 15-20 minutes.

If the clothes and skin are affected by the chemical, then it is necessary to wash it off the clothes, and then take it off. Only then treat the affected areas of the body with water, and then with special alkaline or acid solutions.

With frostbite

The first thing to do is warm the victim as quickly as possible. Transfer it to a warm room, if possible, take a warm 20-degree bath with a gradual increase in temperature.

Frozen parts of the body must be dried and covered with a sterile bandage. In no case should it be rubbed with snow. This is how you can injure the affected part of the body and get an infection. The bandage is left until there is a feeling of warmth, a feeling of heat. Analgesics or strong tea or coffee can be given.

In case of poisoning

If a person is poisoned by vapors or gases, he must be taken to the hospital immediately. Signs of poisoning: headache, pounding in the temples; ringing in the ears, weakness, dizziness, palpitations, nausea and vomiting.

First of all, it is necessary to remove the person from the poisoning zone. Give air flow, unbutton clothes, put him down, give warm drink, tea, coffee

Help with fractures, sprains, bruises

The most frequent injuries at work are fractures, sprains and bruises.

Signs of a fracture are sharp pain that increases when you try to change the position of your body, arm or leg.

There is an open and closed fracture.

With an open fracture, the main thing is to stop the bleeding, apply a sterile bandage and a splint.

When closed, the tire is usually placed on top of clothing. To reduce pain, apply something cold.

In the case of received wounds, the skin around its edge is cleaned, while not touching the wound itself. Then smear iodine around and apply a bandage.

Help with electric shock

If the person is conscious, he must be laid on a flat surface, unbuttoned his clothes, and given rest.

If an unconscious person observes his condition before the arrival of the doctors. If you need to do artificial respiration and indirect heart massage.
