Paraphrasing Gogol's famous phrase about our man's love for everything, one can say that he feels no less tender feelings for the bathhouse. Residents of country houses simply build it on their plot. But citizens of high-rise buildings could pamper themselves with bath procedures only in SPA centers or city public baths. With the appearance of saunas on the market, it is possible to install a mini-bath in your own apartment. The most popular is 1 and 2-person infrared sauna.

Installation of an infrared sauna

Before buying a bathroom device, you need to decide on the place of its installation. It can be a room, pantry, loggia or balcony, bathroom. Their area should allow installing a sauna at a distance of at least five centimeters from the wall. The premises are subject to the following requirements:

  • maximum dryness;
  • flat floor made of wood, parquet board, marble slabs, linoleum;
  • availability of standard power supply (ordinary Eurosocket nearby).

If you have chosen a bathroom, choose a place for installation further away from plumbing fixtures. An important requirement imposed by the rules of operation of infrared cabins is compliance with fire protection requirements.

The installation process itself is quite simple and takes no more time. The set includes shields, which after assembly will become walls, ceiling and floor, doors, seats, shelves for bathroom accessories, footrests. There are also all the necessary fastening elements and detailed instructions describing the sequence of work. All you need is a screwdriver.

The assembly begins with the alternate attachment of the side shields to the rear wall. For this, the attached bolts and washers are used. Three walls are ready. The next stage is the ceiling. It is simply inserted into the grooves in the walls up to the stop. The floor is set in the same way. The second stage is the connection of the equipment already present on the shields. First, you need to insert the wires into the power supply unit. It is impossible to confuse them, since each wire has a number corresponding to a socket with the same marking.

After that, with the help of slats and self-tapping screws, a footrest is attached to the lower part of the seat, shelves and a door are installed. The cabin is ready. It can be connected to the power grid. If you do everything in accordance with the attached step-by-step instructions, there will be no problems with installation.

Rules of maintenance and care for an infrared sauna

After the cabin is assembled, all its elements should be wiped with a wet napkin or rag. Then it will turn on the working mode for two hours. The door must be open at all times. If the sauna was transported from the store in winter, it can be turned on only after the equipment has warmed up to room temperature. Usually, this will take about two hours.

Since IR saunas are usually made of cedar or hemlock, the ability of natural wood to absorb sweat should be taken into account. At the same time, ugly spots remain on it. To prevent this from happening, sheets or towels should be placed on the floor and seats before the procedure. The same means are used for cleaning external surfaces as for the care of any wooden furniture. During cleaning, do not allow water to get on the heating elements.

If these simple rules are followed, the infrared cabin will have its original appearance throughout its entire service life. And it can last from 10 to 15 years.
