  • Dark. During production, they are roasted on coals. Roasting can be strong or weak. The leaf becomes chocolate, spicy smoky notes appear. The famous oolong from this category is Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe).
  • Bright They are not fried, they are more tender. Notes of fragrant flowers and spring fields in the mouth. A popular light oolong is Te Guan Yin.

It is impossible to confuse oolongs with black and green teas. Light oolong leaves are twisted into balls (spherical twist). And dark tea leaves are long and large, much larger than in black varieties.

In China, oolongs are made in the Fujian province, they are called Fuqian or Utesny. There are also Guangdong (phoenix) varieties and Taiwanese GABA-oolongs. Thanks to the special technology of processing in a vacuum, an increased concentration of gamma-aminobutyric acid, necessary for our body, is formed in them.
