US President Donald Trump called "the biggest mistake in American history" - in his opinion, it is the introduction of troops into the Middle East. Trump also blamed one of his predecessors, George Bush, for this mistake.
The US president said this in an interview with The Hill.
Donald Trump compared the participation of the USA in the conflicts in the Middle East with the civil war, and in this comparison, in his opinion, the harm from the civil war looks much smaller.

He noted that this mistake cost the United States seven trillion dollars and millions of lives. He recalled the current president and his immediate predecessor in the post of president, Barack Obama. That, they say, was probably also wrong when he decided to withdraw the army from Iraq.

Let us remind you that US President Donald Trump said that the United States is considering Poland's request for the permanent deployment of American troops.
He stated this before meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda in the White House.
"Poland wants to make a very big contribution to relations with the United States and have [military] presence, and, of course, we will discuss this," he said.
"We take this seriously. I know that Poland really likes this idea, and this is what we are considering," Trump added.
