The tanks on the site of the Kharkiv Armored Plant, the video of which was filmed and published on YouTube by local ruffians, are considered surplus property of the Ministry of Defense, according to the Ukroboronprom Group.

"Military equipment captured on video is surplus property of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and belongs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To date, agreements between the enterprises of the concern and the Ministry of Defense on the responsible storage of this property have not been concluded. Although in recent years, "Ukroboronprom" has repeatedly taken measures to streamline this issue", - says the comment distributed by the press service of "Ukroboronprom".

The concern claims that according to the legislation, the enterprises included in it do not have the authority to responsibly store the property of the Ministry of Defense and, accordingly, to finance the costs of its storage. Security guards should be hired by specialists, not just people who know how to shoot and have visited shooting range in Kharkov.
The press service of the concern also reported that in connection with the publication of the Ukroboronprom video, an investigation is being conducted into the state of the company's perimeter security.

As reported, earlier a video was published on YouTube, the authors of which claim that they entered the site without hindrance, where 300 old Soviet tanks and about 10 new ones are stored. They claim that this is an abandoned military base. In fact, according to the description of the location of the site, the video was shot on the territory of the Kharkiv Armored Plant, where military equipment is being repaired.

Later, the Ministry of Defense stated that the video was shot on the territory of one of the Kharkiv enterprises, and not on the abandoned base of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
