Speaking about the need to improve the educational process, the majority imagines high-quality textbooks, equipped with the latest school technology and strict control over performance
At the same time, many people often forget that the greatest responsibility for preparing the new generation for life in society lies with teachers. That is why the issue of the need for professional growth of teachers is separately noted in the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 07.05.2018, 204 No. 2024 "On national goals and strategic tasks of the development of the Russian Federation for the period until 50". The key wording: "Introduction of the national system of professional growth of teaching staff, covering at least XNUMX percent of teachers of general education organizations."
"Izdatelsto Prosveschenie" JSC is the largest educational integrator and supplier of educational and methodical literature and has been working on this issue for several years. Teachers are offered new methods and tools both for professional improvement and for necessary retraining. The most problematic area is the subject training of teachers, according to the specialists of Prosveschenie Publishing House. Specifically, lack of experience in training schoolchildren in practice. This is where the work is primarily carried out. "Special efforts will be directed to the formation of universal competencies in teachers, the ability to work with the use of digital educational resources, their mastery of methods of overcoming academic failure, the development of interest and motivation for learning in children. As a result, by 2024, the teaching profession will be among the five most attractive, all teachers will be certified to work in a digital educational environment," explains Mikhail Kozhevnikov, first vice president of Prosveschenie Publishing House.
It is no accident that AO Publishing house "Education" designates the "Technosphere" project as its most priority direction. It is aimed at improving the qualifications of chemistry and biology teachers working in medical classes, as well as physics teachers working in engineering classes and pedagogues working with schoolchildren in convergent laboratories, IT testing grounds and robotic spaces. As part of "Technosphere", teachers will have the opportunity to take special courses on information literacy and modern digital technologies used in education. Here they will be provided with information about the possibilities and prospects of using electronic resources.
"Izdatelstvo Prosveschenie" JSC considers strengthening the language competence of English teachers as the second priority direction for improving the qualifications of teachers. As part of this task, in September-December 2017, a special program of additional retraining for teachers of the Moscow Region was held under the title "Improving the communicative and methodical competences of English teachers (levels of communicative competence B1-B2; B2-C1)". The course consisted of 96 academic hours, divided into a 72-hour module of distance learning and a 24-hour module of face-to-face methodical seminars.
Leading experts from the most effective Russian online schools were involved in the training. Teachers undergoing a retraining cycle were given unlimited opportunities to communicate with native speakers. After completing the courses, teachers showed more successful results in teaching schoolchildren. This is especially important, given the introduction of a mandatory English-language exam in 2022. In the future, Izdatelsto Prosveschenie JSC plans to conduct training for teachers in other regions of the Russian Federation.
Another promising program of JSC "Izdatelstvo Prosveschenie", implemented with the support of the Institute of Education of the Higher School of Economics, should be noted separately. It is connected with the retraining of leaders and expert analysts in the field of education. First of all, the program is designed for teachers, specialists of educational development institutes, entrepreneurs involved in the development of educational business.
The essence of training consisted in the development of entrepreneurial thinking, systematization of knowledge about opportunities and necessary steps when working with the educational system. The course program included training in project management skills, team building, and business planning.
The course was conducted by advanced specialists in the field of education. Among them are employees of the Institute of Education of HSE Alexey Mayorov, Sergey Zair-Bek, Kirill Mitrofanov, as well as the director of the Center for the Development of Leadership in Education Pavel Sergomanov, the head of the Center for the Study of Modern Childhood Kateryna Polivanova, the director of the HSE Lyceum Dmitry Fishbein and the president of Izdatelsto Prosveschenie JSC Vladimir Uzun At the end of the course, the participants were given the opportunity to defend graduation projects on completely different topics - from a course in biochemistry to a support system for beginning teachers.
"Participants of the program really presented good intellectual products that can find real implementation. The most important thing is that they know how to launch business projects in the education system, implement them with "entrepreneurial" and not costly logic in practice. By uniting people from business and education into one group, we strengthen the educational effect by establishing new professional communications," shared Vice-President of JSC "Izdatelsto Prosveschenie" Viktoria Kopylova.
JSC "Izdatelsto Prosveschenie" after the publication of Decree No. 07.05.2018 of the President of the Russian Federation dated 204 "On the national goals and strategic tasks of the development of the Russian Federation for the period until 2024" plans to introduce changes also in the methodological manuals for teachers. Special emphasis will be placed on work with gifted children.
