The video of the combat operation was published on the page of the Military Regional Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During aerial reconnaissance, SSO fighters discovered the “Malva” in a hidden parking lot. The special forces operators instantly transmitted the target coordinates to the artillerymen, who delivered an accurate hit.

The "Malva" was destroyed, and the ATV used to service the self-propelled guns was also damaged as a result of the detonation of the ammunition.

This is only the second documented case of damage to this rather rare artillery system, which went into mass production only at the end of 2023, writes Militarny.

The publication's analysts suggest that the installation, identified by special forces as "Malva", may actually be the newer 2S44 "Giatsint-K" system, which is based on the same chassis and is largely unified with it.

The wheeled installation, instead of the 152-mm 2A64 howitzer, received an artillery part from the 2A36 "Giatsint-B" long-range gun, which made it possible to compensate for the insufficient firing range of the "Malva". The new machine is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 30,5 km with conventional high-explosive fragmentation ammunition. And with the use of active-reactive shells, this figure increases to 33,1 km.
