Chinese automaker BYD has teamed up with DJI, a manufacturer of drones, microcontrollers, and video equipment. Together, they have developed a drone station. Several models can already be equipped with such a platform, and in the future, drones will be added to all BYD cars.

The core of the system is a 0,29 square meter rooftop pad with three built-in sensors to position the drone. It can land and take off from the platform at speeds of up to 25 kilometers per hour. The drone’s maximum speed at which it can follow a car is 54 kilometers per hour.
