With the onset of spring, drivers in Ukraine are not only experiencing favorable weather conditions, but also new risks. It is at this time that police officers are stepping up control in villages and district centers, where unregistered mopeds and motorcycles are often found. Soon, drivers of such vehicles may face serious fines, reaching tens of thousands of hryvnias, and more, informs "Auto Theme".
In small settlements, patrol officers do not always pay due attention to traffic violations, which is what local residents take advantage of. Many ride two-wheeled vehicles without registration and a driver's license of the appropriate category. However, the situation will soon change: in the spring, cops plan to conduct active raids to identify such violators.
According to Article 126 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, the fine for not having a valid driver's license is UAH 3, and driving an unregistered vehicle will cost another UAH 400. Repeated violations are punished much more severely - the fine increases to UAH 850, and the opportunity to drive any vehicle can be lost for a period of 40 to 800 years.
