The Cadillac Escalade IQ, the brand's flagship electric vehicle, has received an extended version. Technically, it is unified with a regular electric vehicle, but offers more space in the third row and in the trunk. On a single battery charge, the Escalade IQL travels more than 724 kilometers and accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in 4,7 seconds.
The electric Cadillac Escalade IQL, with an unchanged wheelbase, is 107 millimeters longer than its “relative”. The entire increase fell on the rear overhang, so the legroom for rear passengers increased by almost 102 millimeters, and the maximum volume of the cargo compartment increased from 3375 to 3546 liters. Everything else is the same as the regular Escalade IQ. These are adaptive Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 shock absorbers, air suspension, standard Super Cruise autopilot and a dual-motor power plant.
The peak output of the electric car in Velocity Max mode is 760 horsepower. The SUV’s battery is assembled from 24 modules and has a capacity of 205 kWh, which, according to Cadillac itself, will last more than 724 kilometers. An hour of charging with alternating current (19,2 kW) will give 58 additional kilometers, and 10 minutes of connection to a “fast” terminal will provide three times the mileage.
The new Escalade IQL will be offered in four trim levels: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury and Premium Sport. The starting price is $132. It is known that the SUV will be sold worldwide, not just in the US and Canada. The start of production at the Factory Zero plant in Detroit is scheduled for mid-695.
