The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the delivery of another batch of GCS-200 mechanical demining machines, which will arrive soon. Today, our sappers are already assisted in their work by 62 such tracked robots. Recently, a Ukrainian delegation visited the Global Clearance Solutions plant in Germany. This Swiss-German enterprise is one of the world's leaders in the development and production of robotic demining complexes.
As for the GCS-200 machine, it is supplied to more than 40 countries. It is designed to neutralize anti-personnel and anti-tank mines - and can clear an area of up to 0,5 hectares per day. Remote control at a distance of 50 to 500 m allows for maximum operator safety. The V-shaped armored hull effectively protects during detonation.
The depth of mine clearance using a cultivator reaches 31,5 cm, and when using a chain - 30,5 cm. The weight of the machine is 11 tons. It uses a hydrostatic drive - independent for each track. It is possible to install a manipulator with a lifting capacity of 650 to 3000 kg and a digging depth of up to 5570 mm, as well as a dump.
