Not all drivers in Ukraine are aware that some fines for traffic violations can be paid with a substantial discount. Car owners can in some cases save 50% of the cost of the financial penalty, lawyers from "Road Advocate" reported.
Experts said that under certain conditions, Ukrainians have the right to pay fines for traffic violations with a 50% discount within 10 days from the date of delivery or refusal to deliver the resolution.
Only the following fines can be paid with a discount:
- speeding recorded by automatic speed cameras;
- violation of parking or parking conditions recorded in photo or video recording mode.
Drivers who were stopped for violating the patrol car will not be able to take advantage of this opportunity. In particular, the form of the decision will not mention such a privilege.
In order to take advantage of the discount, you must pay the fine within the first 10 days from the date of actual receipt of the decision or from the date the driver refused to receive such a decision. If the amount is paid after this period, the discount will not be applied.
Let us remind you that in general the driver has 30 days to pay the fine.
