Mercedes SL 500 forgotten in parking lot confiscated and sold for just $1500 (Photo)
In the US, city authorities confiscated an abandoned Mercedes-Benz A 500 SL 2003 after a long absence from its owner. The car was put up for auction, where it was purchased by famous blogger Ed Bolian for just $1500. The car was in a neglected state - the owner had once planned to restore it, but never realized his intentions.

The convertible received significant damage: cracks on the bumper, a missing radiator grille and a completely discharged battery. The interior was also seriously damaged, as the car had been parked for a long time in the open air with the roof open. The technical condition of the car remains in question, in particular the 5,0-liter V8 with a capacity of 302 hp, which in good condition is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 6,3 seconds.

Ed Bolian is planning a complete restoration of the car, including bodywork, interior upgrades, and all mechanical upgrades. His goal is to return the iconic roadster to its original appearance and perfect technical condition.
