Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on what terms Russia is ready to sit down at the negotiating table with Ukraine and what points of the so-called peace it will discuss with Kyiv.
In particular, as Peskov stated, Russia continues to insist that the so-called Istanbul agreements are the so-called starting point for negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.
Moreover, he even stated that this opinion is supported in Washington, although this is not the case. In particular, Trump's special representatives have already stated that it is necessary to depart from the so-called Istanbul agreements and seek a new framework for establishing peace between Ukraine and Russia.
"In Washington, we also heard statements that this could become a base, a starting point for negotiations. And, of course, President Putin said that the negotiations could have the Istanbul agreements as a starting point," Peskov said.
It is known that the signing of the Istanbul agreements will effectively be a capitulation for Ukraine. After all, in addition to territories, the Russian Federation wants to obtain, in particular, a neutral status for Ukraine, a rejection of any military alliances, and most importantly, a radical reduction of the Armed Forces and weapons stocks.
