Trump made a statement regarding his attitude towards Russia
Trump was the one who stopped the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, who imposed sanctions against Russia, and who provided Javelin against the Russian Federation.
US President Donald Trump said he is taking a tough stance on the Russian Federation. He said this in an interview with Fox News on Sunday.
"I take a tough position (on Russia - ed.) Just remember that I was the one who stopped the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. And I was the one who imposed sanctions against Russia. I was also the one who provided Javelin against Russia. I take a very tough position," the head of the White House assured.
At the same time, Trump noted that he "gets along well" with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
"Putin would be the first to say that 'no one takes a tougher position than Trump,'" he said.
In addition, the American president added that everyone around him knows that "no one takes a tougher position on Russia than he does."
