Three years after "Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine," the world is at a "tipping point."

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and spoke by phone with US and French leaders Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron. After that, the politician said there was "an opportunity to unite." Sky News reported this on Saturday, March 1.

Starmer reportedly described both phone calls as constructive and "focused on finding a way forward."

Starmer told reporters that the world is now at a "tipping point" and that on Sunday, March 2, leaders from a number of world countries will gather in London for a global security summit.

Among those participating in the meeting will be the leaders of Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey, Canada and other countries.

"In partnership with our allies, we must step up preparations for a European element of security assurances, alongside continuing discussions with the United States," the British Prime Minister stressed.

According to him, Ukraine's partners have the opportunity to unite to ensure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

"The time has come to unite to ensure the best outcome for Ukraine, protect European security and secure our shared future," Starmer concluded.

As is known, during a meeting in the Oval Office between Trump, J.D. Vance and Zelensky, a dispute arose. Trump said that without Washington, Kyiv has no "cards in hand", and Ukraine should be grateful for the help. Zelensky said that the US has no right to tell Ukraine what to do.
