US President Donald Trump said that more attention should be focused on fighting illegal immigrants and crime in the country, rather than worrying about Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

The American leader published a corresponding post on the social network.

This is necessary, according to Trump, to “not end up in a situation like Europe.”

"We should worry less about Putin and focus more on the migrant gangs of rapists, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions who are entering our country - so we don't end up in a situation like Europe!" the US president wrote.

It also became known that the United States is developing a project to restart the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Europe with the support of American investors, and this shows the breadth of Trump's rapprochement with Moscow.

One reason Trump is “opening his arms” to Putin is his intention to drive a wedge between Moscow and Beijing, experts say. However, dividing Russia and China will not be easy now, as the two countries have deepened military and intelligence cooperation and coordinated their foreign policies.
