
An incredibly simple way to cook mackerel in the oven. There is no need to fry or boil anything beforehand. We simply put everything in raw form and the result is juicy fish with a wonderful taste and aroma. Serve such mackerel with rice or mashed potatoes or as an independent dish with any vegetables.
By the way, you can cook any fish this way, it will turn out very tasty!
Ingredients:
- 2 pc. mackerel
- 3 pcs. tomatoes (medium)
- 1,5 pcs. onion (medium)
- 1 pc. carrot
- 1/2 pc. sweet pepper)
- 9 cloves of garlic
- 2 Art. vegetable oil
- ground pepper to taste
- salt to taste
Method of cooking:
1. Cut the onion into half rings, clean the garlic cloves and place them on the bottom of the mold, previously greased with oil. Sprinkle with a small amount of salt and ground pepper.
2. Cut the carrots into circles, evenly distribute them in the second layer and add salt and pepper again. Carrots can be cut into strips or grated.
3. Cut the tomatoes into circles and put them in a third layer.
4. Chop the sweet pepper into straws, spread over the tomatoes, add a little salt and pepper. You can use any vegetables according to taste and season.
5. To make it convenient to clean the fish, do not defrost it completely, the fish should remain firm. We remove the fins, heads, take out the entrails and wipe the inside with a paper towel. Cut into pieces and spread on vegetables.
6. Sprinkle pieces of mackerel with salt and ground pepper. Pour in 100 ml of water.
7. Cover the form with foil and put the fish in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees. Bake for 20 minutes.
8. Then remove the foil and cook for another 10 minutes. The vegetables will become soft, the fish will brown. This dish is also delicious in a pan. Put everything in layers in a tall pan, cover with a lid and cook for about 30 minutes (do not add water to the pan).
9. Sprinkle the fish on the vegetable pillow with chopped parsley and immediately serve. Due to the juice released from vegetables, mackerel turns out juicy. The dish is very aromatic and tasty.
