Charlotte is often prepared in the summer, because it is a quick pastry, to which it is enough to add apples - and the fragrant sponge cake will delight both for breakfast and for dinner. But not only apples can be used to fill charlotte. Culinary experts experiment with different fruits and berries, each of which gives unique notes and creates an original dessert. We recommend preparing charlotte with cherries with a vanilla aroma - this is a very tasty combination that never gets boring.

Here's what you need for cherry charlotte:
Eggs - 4 pcs.
Zucor - 150 g
vanilla sugar - 20 g

baking powder — 20 g
pitted cherries — 200 g

How to cook charlotte with cherries?
1. Beat the eggs in a classic manner and add the vanilla and regular sugar at once. Beat with a mixer on low speed for 5-7 minutes, until the sugar-egg mixture becomes light yellow and fluffy.
2. Then add the sifted high-grade wheat flour and baking powder. Mix with a wooden or silicone spatula in circular motions “from the bottom to the top” so that the dough does not “settle”.
3. Take a round baking dish, grease the bottom with butter. Place 1/3 of the cherries on the bottom, which have been previously washed, sorted and pitted.
4. Pour 1/2 of the batter over the cherry layer. Then add a third of the berries and the rest of the batter, then top with the remaining berries.
5. Bake the cherry pie for 30 minutes at a temperature of 175 degrees.
6. Do not open the oven while baking — do not disturb the charlotte, turn on the timer and wait for the fragrant deliciousness.
7. If desired, if the cherries were a bit sour, sprinkle the finished charlotte with powdered sugar. Enjoy with tea or coffee — and write down the recipe.
