French carmaker Renault has taken the prototype of its new 2026 Renault Kiger crossover for road testing, which will once again be aimed at the Indian market. The car will continue to follow an affordable pricing strategy as it undergoes a planned facelift.
However, the new model is expected to undergo a significant upgrade, as the previous version of the crossover did not achieve much success in the market, and its sales left much to be desired. Initially, the Renault Kiger was designed as a budget compact crossover to meet the demand for affordable cars in India, but competition in this segment has increased, so the company decided to improve the model.
The new Kiger is expected to feature a refreshed exterior, more modern interior technology, and improved engine efficiency. As the model is once again targeting the Indian market, it will retain its budget-friendly nature while at the same time trying to compete with other popular crossovers in the segment.
