In France, French leader Emmanuel Macron's approval rating has risen to its highest level in nine months. The rise in ratings was preceded by Macron's leadership and support for Ukraine.

This is reported by Bloomberg, citing the results of an Ifop survey.

French President Emmanuel Macron's popularity rating has risen to its highest level since June 2024. The figure reached 31%, up 7% from the previous month and almost at the level it was on the eve of last year's snap parliamentary elections.

Bloomberg explains that Macron's rise in popularity is due to the president's active position in supporting Ukraine and European efforts aimed at strengthening defense capabilities.

The survey results showed that 53% of respondents are concerned about international affairs related to Ukraine, and 84% believe that peace negotiations cannot be held without the participation of a country at war.

The French leader's popularity has grown among older voters, retirees and workers, who are traditionally his most loyal supporters.

The Ifop poll was conducted online and by telephone on March 6-7 with a margin of error of 1,1 to 2,5%.
