To prepare a portion for a family (3-4 people), you will need:
200 g of millet
1 liters of milk
100 g butter
0,5 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar (to taste)
10 g vanilla sugar (to taste)
How do we prepare this dish?
- First, rinse the millet, then pour water over it several times until the liquid is almost clear.
- Take the form in which you will bake (if round, then 26 cm). We recommend glass or ceramic for convenience.
- Pour the millet into the mold, add salt, white and vanilla sugar (to taste). If you add exactly 3 tablespoons, as indicated, the dish will turn out for those with a sweet tooth.
- Add cold milk, stir with a spatula, and place a cube of butter on top in 5-6 places.
- Place in a cold oven for 1,5 hours (temperature 175-180 degrees).
The porridge after cooking has a golden crust, is soft and tender. The melted aroma resembles a dessert, not a main course, while the millet does not lose its benefits.
