According to the results of the annual Women's Worldwide Car of the Year award, women recognized the Hyundai Santa Fe as the absolute winner of 2025.
Several other models won prizes in other categories: the MINI Cooper was chosen as the City Car of the Year, the electric Kia EV3 was the best compact crossover, and the Porsche Panamera was recognized for its outstanding performance characteristics.
In total, out of 81 applicants, six models won in different categories. In addition to the cars already listed, prizes went to the Audi A6 e-tron in the Large Car category and the Toyota Land Cruiser in the 4x4 category. A special prize for developments in the field of electrification was awarded to the Chinese concern BYD.
The choice of the Hyundai Santa Fe as the best car of the year came as a surprise to many, as not everyone liked the new design of the crossover. Almost immediately after its launch, a defect was discovered in the model for the US market - incorrect firmware of the robotic transmission control unit, so Hyundai had to urgently recall all the cars sold, of which there were more than 13 thousand at that time.
Returning to the women's award, last year the Kia EV9 electric crossover was recognized as the best car. It was chosen for its combination of advanced design, fast charging and aerodynamic performance.
