MG's European model line-up will soon be joined by a new crossover. The new model with the S5 index, which replaces the ZS EV, will arrive in dealerships this spring.
The crossover looks stylish and modern, and almost completely repeats its Chinese counterpart ES5. It has a body with smooth lines and original stampings, widened wings and a shortened hood, narrowed headlights, and taillights are made in the form of a single block. There is a small spoiler at the stern, and the wheels have received an aerodynamic design. It is known that the length of the MG S5 reaches about 4480 mm.
The Chinese version of this crossover is offered with one electric motor with a capacity of 168 hp. It is likely that in Europe the model will be available with a similar unit. Insiders suggest that the MG S5 will also be offered in a version with a 201-horsepower engine, and also in an all-wheel drive version XPower with 429 hp. The estimated cost of the new product is 32 thousand euros.
