Mercedes-Benz is preparing a new line of minivans and vans. The German automaker has released the first teaser of the Vision V concept. The show car, which will be a harbinger of future new products, will be presented in April, and the first electric vehicle will be launched into production next year.
The teasers aren’t very informative: the first one shows the Vision V badge, which is probably located at the back of the van. The background for it is a backlight of a multitude of tiny three-ray stars. Whether such a solution will reach the “series” is unclear, but Mercedes-Benz promised to apply some hyper-modern design solutions in the new line, “which are as stylish as they are unexpected.”

Other teasers show red LEDs (apparently part of the lights), partly the profile and body elements. It is known that the new generation Mercedes-Benz Vito and V-Class will be built on the Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA) platform. An 800-volt architecture and single- and dual-motor power plants have been announced.

Top-of-the-line models will be able to travel up to 500 kilometers without recharging and will initially feature a level two autonomous driving system. As technology develops, vans and vans are expected to be equipped with level three and four autopilots.
