The third-generation Jeep Compass has revealed its design secrets, thanks to teasers published by parent company Stellantis. The new compact crossover promises not only a fresh look, but also an expanded choice of powertrains, including various levels of electrification. The debut is scheduled for spring, starting with the European market, while North American consumers may not see the new product until 2026 due to adjustments to Jeep's "green" plans, informs Autopilot.

The move marks the first generational change in nearly a decade, with the previous model debuting in 2016. According to teasers, the Compass will retain signature features like the seven-slot grille, but will get more pronounced square headlights and sleek LED taillights. The car's profile will be more sculpted, with shorter overhangs.

The new Compass will be based on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, shared with other models of the concern. A wide range of powertrains will be a feature: from traditional internal combustion engines and hybrids to fully electric versions, as well as the option of all-wheel drive for certain modifications. It is expected that a “mild-hybrid” version with a 136 hp gasoline engine and a 29 hp electric motor will appear in Europe.

Stellantis promises the Compass best-in-class performance and advanced technologies, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). A European premiere is scheduled for spring, with market launch in the second half of the year, with production at the Melfi plant in Italy.
