Honda's model line has been expanded with another electric novelty - a crossover with the S7 index. It will compete with the Tesla Model Y and Zeekr 7X.
The compact crossover is intended for the Chinese market and will be produced at the Dongfeng-Honda enterprise. The electric car looks stylish and modern with a chopped body design, narrow LED optics and a pronounced body kit. It also has a high window line, a large spoiler at the stern and large wheels. It is worth noting the presence of cameras that have replaced traditional rear-view mirrors, and retractable door handles. The rear window of the S7 has received a rather strong slope.
The new Honda model is 4750 mm long with a wheelbase of 2930 mm. The width and height are 1930 and 1625 mm, respectively. Ground clearance is 193 mm. The interior of the electric car is spacious. It is equipped with a 9,9-inch digital dashboard, a multimedia system with a 12,8-inch screen. There is an audio system with 16 speakers, a panoramic roof, electric seats, all-round cameras and a parking autopilot. The S7 is promised a wide list of driver assistance systems and safety assistants.
The Honda S7 electric crossover is built on a special EV platform and will be offered with one and two electric motors. The basic single-motor version produces 268 hp. power, and the top-end version produces 469 hp. The range of up to 650 km is provided by an 89,8 kWh battery. The novelty will be released on the Chinese market in the near future. The price tag for it starts from 263 yuan (about 500 dollars).
