Eggshells are rich in calcium. In addition, they contain many other useful elements. 1-2 kg of such waste will not play a significant role in macronutrients.

But summer residents point out that it makes sense to use it to improve the general condition with micronutrients. This is especially true for sandy and peaty soils. In addition, eggshells are used to neutralize acidity.

Gardeners noted that eggshells are best applied to crops that suffer most from a lack of various elements. These include, for example, cauliflower. Eggshells are applied in grooves or directly into the holes, but continuous application under digging can also be used.

Before grinding, the shells are doused with boiling water and dried. Some summer residents do this: they collect eggshells and store them in a tray made of recycled paper, which is then burned, and the resulting ashes are sprinkled on the beds.
