Chinese auto giant BYD has teamed up with DJI, a leading UAV manufacturer, to develop a unique integrated system called Ling Yuan. It allows drivers to launch drones to record videos during their journey with the push of a button. There is no need to stop the car.

The new system includes a 4K drone and a docking station, which has an aerodynamic shape and is installed on the roof of the car. Its height is only 215 mm. In order to open the station and launch the drone, you need to press just one button. It can be controlled through the BYD multimedia system or using a special mobile application. In this case, the car can continue to move, but at a speed of no more than 25 km/h.

According to the company, the drone is capable of speeds up to 54 km/h and can stay in the air for up to two hours. After shooting, the drone returns to the docking station, where it automatically charges. It takes only 80 minutes to charge to 30%, so passengers won't have to wait long for the next flight. During this time, you can edit the footage and publish it on social networks. Artificial intelligence-based software will help with this.

It is noted that the first such installation will be available for the BYD Fang Cheng Bao 8 hybrid SUV. Later, BYD will offer such a system with a drone for other models, including the Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5, Titanium 3, Denza N9, BYD Tang L and BYD Sealion 07 DM-i. Later, the Ling Yuan system will go beyond China. Its cost in the Chinese market is 16 yuan (about $ 000).
