Britain will transfer intelligence to Ukraine
British intelligence data is not as comprehensive as American, but it will retain some ability to provide early warning of attacks and some level of strike potential.
The UK will continue to provide intelligence to Ukraine after the exchange between Kyiv and Washington ceased. However, their capabilities are less than those of the US. This was reported on Thursday, March 6, by The Guardian, citing sources.
The publication notes that Britain will also continue to analyze raw data, however, it will not simply transfer information received from the US, which comes through long-established exchange mechanisms between the two countries.
“Their capabilities are not as comprehensive as the US, not on the same scale, and cannot replace them,” said a former British government official.
However, according to the publication, this will allow Ukraine to maintain some early warning of attacks and a certain level of strike potential against deep targets in Russia.
The Guardian noted that intelligence gathered through satellites, ground stations, reconnaissance aircraft such as Rivet Joint, and even covertly deployed ground forces, is being accumulated and shared with Ukraine, along with open sources.
