I'm making apple pie now, according to the recipe my grandmother taught me! It's made with nuts, cocoa, and a delicate cream on shortcrust pastry. It's incredibly delicious!
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 450 g flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 180 g frozen margarine
- 150 g of sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 120 g sour cream 20%
Toppings:
- 600 g of apples
- 120 g of nuts
- 1 Art. l. cocoa
- 2 century. l. semolina
- 2 century. l. sugar
- 50 g poppy seed filling (optional)
Cream:
- 900 grams of milk
- 2 eggs
- 250 g of sugar
- 90 g flour
- 40 g of cream pudding (1 p.)
- 250 -300 g butter (room temperature)
Preparation:
Dough:
I mix the flour with baking powder, grate the frozen margarine, and rub it into crumbs with my hands. I add sugar, egg yolks, sour cream, and knead the dough with my hands. I divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
Toppings:
I peel the apples and cut them into cubes. I add nuts, cocoa, semolina, sugar, poppy seed filling to them and mix well. I also divide it into 3 equal parts.
I spread the first part of the dough into a baking pan (24 by 24 cm) lined with parchment and sprinkled with flour. I spread the filling on top. I bake 3 identical cakes in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
Cream:
In a thick-bottomed saucepan, mix the milk with the eggs, sugar, flour, and pudding. Place over the heat, stirring constantly with a spoon, until the mixture thickens. Cover with cling film and leave to cool.
I beat the soft butter with a mixer until fluffy, add the cooled custard mass and beat with a mixer until smooth.
I spread all three finished and cooled cakes with cream. I decorate as desired, I can sprinkle with coconut flakes. I put it in the refrigerator for 12 hours.
I cut it and enjoy it with tea!
