A 1967 Pontiac GTO coupe has been put up for sale in the United States. They plan to get $300 for the famous sports car, because it is a time capsule in a special edition.
This Pontiac GTO is one of 50 special edition cars that were raffled off among customers of a shoe store chain. The sports coupes were distinguished by their gold paint and red decor. Only three of these cars have survived to this day.
This particular 1967 Pontiac GTO was won by Ms. Bart from St. Louis. She drove 80 km on the car and even later upgraded it with air conditioning. By the way, a similar car was recently converted into an electric car.
In 1978, the owner passed away, and since then the Pontiac GTO has not been used - her husband put the car in the garage and did not drive it. The vintage car has been perfectly preserved. Since 2002, Mrs. Bart's son-in-law has become the owner of the Pontiac GTO, but he also did not drive it. The car stood in the garage for 45 years and only in 2024 was it shown to the public - it was exhibited at a retro show, where it immediately received an award.
