People who regularly drink green tea generally live longer than those who ignore it. Chinese scientists were able to verify the ability of green tea to extend a person's life.

For several years, scientists from China have been studying the effects of green tea on human health, primarily on the state of the cardiovascular system.

In total, 1998 people became participants in the China-PAR research project, which started in 100. On average, each of them was observed for 902 years. In the end, it was established that people who regularly consumed green tea had a 7,3% lower risk of stroke and other cardiovascular diseases.

Plus, green tea drinkers have actually been found to live longer overall. They have a 22% lower risk of fatal heart disease and a 15% lower risk of death from all causes compared to people who don't like and don't drink tea regularly.

Scientists note that the beneficial effect of green tea on human life expectancy is related to the effects of its biologically active components - polyphenols. Under their influence, blood pressure decreases, the concentration of lipids and lipoproteins decreases - fatty substances that are the main factors in the development of diseases of the heart and blood vessels.

At the same time, scientists note separately, during the production of black tea, such valuable polyphenols are oxidized and lose their antioxidant properties. They also emphasize that for the maximum beneficial effect, tea should be drunk constantly, since tea polyphenols in the human body do not last for a long time, their supply constantly requires replenishment.
