The "DPR" militant killed in Moscow was blown up by a suicide bomber

Possible reasons for the liquidation include internal conflicts among the militants, as well as the "redivision" of the tobacco market.

A bomb exploded in the Red Sails residential complex in Moscow, killing criminal authority Armen Sarkisyan, known as Armen Gorlivsky, founder of the ArBat battalion. According to Russian media, it was detonated by a suicide bomber who also died on the spot.

It is reported that the explosive device could have been planted in the elevator lobby. Some TG channels claim that Sargsyan was blown up using a MON-50, which the attacker activated after the victim exited the elevator. The explosive was attached to the suicide bomber's body.

RosZMI reports that the likely perpetrator is 55-year-old Armenian citizen Parur K., who had a criminal record and probably served in the airborne troops. Several of his possible accomplices have already been detained.

Among the possible reasons for the liquidation are internal conflicts among the militants, as well as the "redivision" of the tobacco market, since Sargsyan was one of the largest importers of tobacco to Russia.

Sarkissian was born in Armenia, later moved to Horlivka. In Ukraine, he was associated with Yanukovych's entourage and was considered the organizer of the "titushki" to suppress the Euromaidan. After 2014, he joined the "DPR" militants, and in 2022 he created ArBat, a special forces unit within the Russian army.

It later became known that one of the victims was Armen Sarkissian, the "president of the boxing federation" of the so-called "DPR" and the founder of the Armenian volunteer battalion Arbat, which is fighting as part of the Russian army in Ukraine.
