Automated traffic control systems have already become commonplace in Ukraine, although their use is not yet as widespread as expected. At the same time, in other countries, similar technologies are being implemented much faster, which leads to the introduction of new sanctions for drivers, writes "Auto Theme".
In France, for example, drivers can be severely punished for using GPS devices that contain information about the location of fixed speed cameras. If such data is detected in your device, you risk losing both the device and your car. This violation carries a minimum fine of 1500 euros.
France also bans the use of radar and laser detectors, which can detect mobile speed cameras. Possession of such devices, even when inactive, can result in severe penalties.
